The Lone Survivor

“Loneliness is dangerous, it’s addictive. Once you see how peaceful it is, you don’t wanna deal with people…….”

A year has passed since I came to Bengaluru. I landed at Bengaluru International Airport on the ,rainy month of calendar, last year. I was weak from chronic liver infection and food poisoning. After a lot of hindrances due to my health , I finally arrived in the unknown world.
I reached my PG which I already got booked and came in for a shock after looking at it . Trust me guys, the PG gave me a heart attack, the place was nauseous. Seniota were a blessing as they helped me in coping up with the situation. I was missing my mother’s food, my bed, my room and even my family, though I don’t tell them that I miss them but I guess it’s all natural because I never felt in my life that I can miss anyone . College started soon and I was still in a dilemma to change my PG and shift somewhere else ASAP! I changed my PG by next month with all my friends away from me, living all alone was difficult but once I got into the flow , I was doing great and even started cooking my own food to save myself  from outside food. To all of you who all are lucky to get home cooked food ,I envy you all but you all should respect your mother’s home cooked food. We may like the food prepared by best of best chef but that “MAA ke hath ka Khana” will always have special place in our in hearts.

Enough about myself I have dedicated this article to help you guys   “1st years- Freshman joining college this year to cope emotionally and physically with the situation you all will be facing in the coming days.
It’s absolutely normal that u don’t make friends as soon as you get to the college, it will take some time to make friends and trust me they will be always there for you.

·   You will miss “MAA KE HATH KA KHANA” for sure and there is nothing you can do about it. You wait for vacation to go home eat like monster till the last day of your vacation.

·   It pretty normal to exceed your budget and trust me we all device some method to either get more pocket money or limit our expenses.

·   I will be blunt here, if you are living in a flat with friends you must be having kitchen facility try to cook breakfast by yourself instead of going out for some unhygienic  food  and if you don't have time get cornflakes or oats. Don’t skip the breakfast it is very important meal of the day.

·   We all want to try different things try them but don’t get addicted. I am obviously talking about the bad habits

·   Do explore the city, go for a jog and travel with friends. Go have local delicacies, even international delicacies available.

·   Don’t just sleep and stay high all the time, have some real fun too.

·   Save money so that you enjoy on the weekends.

·   You will miss your family and cry at times it’s all normal, it’s better to cry than bury your feeling deep down your heart.

1st year is difficult because you are for the first time away from the protective shell made by your loved ones, you have to be responsible for your own self, no one will trust you, no one will feed you, no one  makes your bed, no one will wash your clothes and  iron them, no one is going to  wake you up for college, no one will take care of you when you are sick, no one will give you shoulder to cry upon  in your difficulties because we don’t have our friends & family. The life is tough for most of us so smile and survive the life. Trust me all the difficulties will fade away soon, just let the time do its work.

Guys do follow us and comment. We are going to help you a lot to enjoy food and drinks in the best way possible.
